Accounts and cash transactions

Create an account or cash wallet, record a movement and retain history when archiving.

How do I create or edit an account?

Open Settings → Finances. Enter a name, select the correct type and optionally the last four IBAN characters. Use the Cash account type for cash movements. Workspace owners or administrators manage accounts and cash records. If your access is limited, ask them for assistance.

How do I record cash income or spending?

In Transactions, use Add cash transaction.

  1. Choose Income or Expense and the relevant cash wallet. If none exists, create one in Settings → Finances first.
  2. Enter the actual date, amount and description. For income choose its type, such as salary, rent or gift; for spending choose a category and subcategory.
  3. Save and check the movement in the list. The selected date determines the reporting period. Do not re-enter a purchase already recorded through an ATM allocation or received rent.

How do balances and reports change?

Income increases cash balance and reported income; spending reduces cash balance and financial result. A recorded Income → Gift is income. An ATM withdrawal is not new income: use Allocate as cash to treat it as an own transfer and record specific purchases. The unallocated remainder stays as cash. Financial goals do not automatically create account movements.

How do I archive an account?

Edit the account, clear Active for new imports and save. Transaction history is retained; archiving does not delete data or revoke bank consent. Check account type because it determines how the account contributes to cash, savings and analysis.
