Personal guidance

Set preferences for reserves, debt and available capacity.

What is this?

Guidance settings change the priorities and indicative amounts used by Finance Ledger in the financial plan. They do not allow the platform to place transfers, execute trades or change financial data on your behalf.

What do you see?

You can set a reserve target of 4, 5 or 6 reporting periods, a debt approach, a preferred investment profile and an initial free-cash share between 5% and 30%.

What can you do?

Open Settings → Guidance, choose your preferences and select ‘Save guidance’. Refresh AI Insights to review the plan with the new preferences.

  • ‘Highest interest first’ usually reduces the total cost of debt.
  • ‘Smallest balance first’ creates faster visible progress on an individual debt.

What does the result mean?

The investment profile guides future explanations but is not a suitability assessment for a financial product. All results are educational guidance based on the recorded data, not personalised financial or investment advice.
