Security and privacy

Understand how sessions, Workspace access and bank consent are used.

What is this?

Finance Ledger uses a protected user session, verifies access through your membership and separates financial data by Workspace. Bank and exchange connections are read-only and cannot place payments or trades.

What do you see?

In settings, you see connected sources, their status and last update. When managing a bank connection, you first see the exact counts of transactions, imports, bank accounts and local accounts that may be affected.

What can you do?

Do not share sign-in links or bank or exchange API keys, sign out on shared devices and disconnect sources you no longer use. Use ‘Disconnect and keep data’ if you want the imported history to remain, or carefully review the counts before permanent deletion.

What does the result mean?

Ending bank consent stops future data retrieval. Deletion removes bank transactions, imports and bank accounts; an automatically created local account is removed only if it has no other transactions, while user-created local accounts are retained.
