Data and imports

Transactions and categories

Review account activity and organise unrecognised spending.

What is this?

Transactions are all imported or manually entered movements on your accounts. Categories show what the money was used for.

What do you see?

You can filter by period, account, source and type, add manual cash income or spending, and see groups without a reliable category. A recognised ATM withdrawal shows an optional ‘Allocate as cash’ action.

What can you do?

Correct one transaction, process a group of similar movements, or split a withdrawal into several exact cash expenses. You can allocate only part of the amount and add the remaining items later.

What does the result mean?

By default, an ATM withdrawal remains spending. It changes to an internal transfer only if you explicitly choose ‘Allocate as cash’ and save at least one item. The allocated purchases then count as spending and the remainder stays available cash, without double counting. An uncategorised amount reduces category-analysis accuracy but does not change total reported spending.

Are manual categories preserved during bank imports?

Yes. Subsequent synchronizations and historical imports preserve manual categories. Recognising an own-account transfer is separate: its category is retained, but the confirmed internal transfer is excluded from income and spending.
