Data and imports
File imports
Use a bank statement when a direct connection is not available.
What is this?
File import reads transactions from a CSV or Revolut Excel (.xlsx) statement and adds them to the selected account after your review. Attach files from a computer. On a phone or tablet, you can view import and bank synchronization history.
What do you see?
Before saving, you see recognised rows, new transactions, likely duplicates and rows with issues. Below the form, the combined history shows both file imports and every bank synchronization.
How do I import my first statement?
CSV and Revolut Excel (.xlsx) files up to 5 MB and 5,000 transactions are supported.
- Download a statement from your bank for the account and period you need in a supported format.
- In ‘Imports’, choose the matching account. If it does not exist, first add it in ‘Settings’ → ‘Finances’; use the existing account if it is already linked to a bank.
- Attach the file and select ‘Continue to statement review’. Check dates, amounts, currency and flagged duplicates.
- If the preview is correct, select ‘Add … rows and calculate’. Affected periods are calculated automatically; then check categories in ‘Transactions’.
What if I already have some transactions?
Repeated imports skip recognised duplicates. When combining a file and a bank connection, review overlapping dates and new rows before saving — different sources may describe the same transaction differently.
What does the result mean?
A ‘new’ row will be added. A ‘duplicate’ will not be saved again. In the history, ‘Successful’, ‘No new data’ and ‘Error’ describe that particular import or synchronization without changing earlier successful data.
